Welcome to the Meditation Method of Mystics and Saints,
«The Secret of the Golden Flower»
This knowledge is secret because we have forgotten the virtues and values of ancient cultures and civilizations
and therefore lost the ability to recognize the hidden signs and symbols in sacred scriptures and
ancient documents and to understand and apply the knowledge they contain.
To give you an insight, let me tell you a short story:
The myths of our ancestors
The legend speaks of «Star People» who came to Earth from the Pleiades and settled on the sunken «Continent of Mu in the Pacific Ocean». Their mission was to bring harmony and peace to the hearts of people and to the world, thereby bringing healing.
More than 5,000 years ago, when no written records existed, small groups of these «Star People» lived as descendants and «Initiates» in Egypt and other countries and continents. They possessed «Secret Knowledge» that enabled them to perform «unusual abilities and miracles» and a «Wisdom Teaching» which I will discuss shortly.
For a long time, knowledge was passed on exclusively «oral» (bay word of mouth from teacher to disciple) and this special Informations and Instructions were only revealed to people with the “appropriate character qualities”; otherwise, strict secrecy was maintained. – Even today, not everything that needs to remain protected can or is recorded. – Even the written word reveals itself only to those who have developed the necessary awareness.
Later, when the first «hieroglyphs (sacred characters)» were used as «pictographic writing» (writing of the Words of God) at around the same time as «Cuneiform Writing» was used for recording in Mesopotamia, the «Initiates» of that time used certain «Hieroglyphic Images» as «Code Words» to keep their knowledge secret. – This prevented misuse, protected against persecution and guaranteed the «unadulterated transmission» of knowledge, as Alchemists in the Middle Ages also used their «Code Words as a Secret Language» to avoid persecution by the Church.
Huna-Teachings – an ancient shamanic system of the Hawaiian natives
In 1918, the American linguist «Max Freedom Long» visited the island of Hawaii in the Pacific Ocean and, over time, and attempted to decipher the «Polynesian Huna System» and its «codification» in a «symbolic language», which is said to have survived to this day in many traditions even in other countries and still influences the behaviour and rituals of the inhabitants of Hawaii in the form of «Kahuna Shamanism».
There are valid theories that assume a «Primordial Knowledge» as foundation behind all systems, methods and techniques of earlier cultures and their «outstanding abilities», which we can now only partially understand from their artifacts and buildings. – For me, Max Freedom Long’s definition of the «Huna Wisdom Teaching», reveals a significant correspondence with the various «Techniques of Meditation» – which I see as the common spiritual background of these «supernatural abilities» (Siddha Patañjali) and as a prerequisite for the achievements of their past advanced civilisations.
Regardless of Max Freedom Long’s qualifications as a linguist and the classification of his «Huna Wisdom Teachings» as «neoshamanic-esoteric», it should be noted that the «Hawaiian language», like most «Polynesian Languages», was only systematically recorded in writing in the 19th century, with «Hawaiian» not being written down until 1820.
I often recalled my reading of Max Freedom Long’s books from 2004 – and the sentence that stuck in my mind above all else: “When the first Christian missionaries visited the Hawaiian Islands, the indigenous people replied: «Your prayers will not be answered, you are not breathing properly»”!
This form of breathing, in exact accordance with the «backward circulation», the “microcosmic orbit” of the «Meditation of the Golden Flower», forms the main element of this meditation instruction – this knowledge was also only written down in the late 17th century and was previously only transmitted orally! – The coincidence is a mind-blowing synchronicity.
In the spring of 2026, I began rereading his books and gained new insights that confirm the effectiveness of my own research and practice of the ‘Chinese Taoist Meditation Instruction,’ the ‘Secret of the Golden Blossom’ from the Dragon Gate lineage. This adds another dimension to Max Freedom Long’s interpretation of the ‘Huna Wisdom Teachings.’
The history of the «Golden Flower»
The history of the «Golden Flower» begins around 1000 years after «Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras»:
The «Method of Turning the Light», further refined by the ancient Taoists, is attributed in the text of the «Golden Flower» to the well-known Taoist adept ‘Lü Yen’ (Lü Dung Bin / Patriarch Lü Dsu), who is said to have been born in 755 and lived at the turn of the 8th and 9th centuries.
His teachings were first recorded in China in 1692 under the title «The Book of Life» (The Book of Consciousness and Life / The Book of Long Life). The Western world became acquainted with this famous alchemical treatise in 1929 in Richard Wilhelm’s German translation as «Das Geheimnis der Goldenen Blüte», with commentary by his friend Carl Gustav Jung (English «The Secret of the Golden Flower».
In 1991, Thomas Cleary, an American sinologist, made this text authentically accessible to everyone for the first time and explained it in an understandable way with a brilliant new translation from a Chinese original manuscript. He describes «The Secret of the Golden Flower» as one of the most fundamental and radical mind-based methods. Almost the entire text is devoted to the subtleties of this simple practice of «Turning the Light».
The «Golden Flower» was practiced by many spiritual traditions in ancient times. Mystics throughout history have explored this path and explained in their writings and teachings that all people can achieve enlightenment and immortality, regardless of their beliefs or origins. References to these methods can still be found today in the sacred texts of these ancient traditions.
The Future of Meditation in the West:
Yoga and Meditation have a much higher goal than one dares to think when trapped in a purely scientific and mechanistic worldview. Meditation, yoga, and Ayurveda ultimately have a highest common goal, which in the East is understood as the birthright of human beings: liberation from all suffering, enlightenment, and immortality. I would like to note at this point that these are rights and duties, and that therefore these rights can only be exercised on condition that we fulfill the corresponding duties.
We must therefore abandon our consumerist attitude if we want to understand yoga, meditation, or Ayurveda, practice them correctly, and fully participate in their blessings. In striving for a lasting blissful life, the hope and promise of all religions focuses on a life in paradise, whether after resurrection in this world or only after death in the hereafter.
I have sought out teachings and teachers or masters who teach today how we can implement and realize these legitimate desires of our soul already in earthly life. And to come straight to the point, I have found everything I was looking for and would like to pass on this path.
Meanwhile, science and business have embraced the usable results and methods of these traditions under the umbrella term «Longevity», at least commercially, without, however, accepting the consequences and obligations that come with them.
Quantum physicist David Bohm said the following on this topic: “The findings of modern science only make sense if we accept an inner, transcendent reality that underlies all external data and facts. The consciousness of humanity is one at its deepest level.”
Meditation is medicine for the soul, meditation is a spiritual self-healing process that can be learned by anyone. The prerequisite for this is a mental attitude and an understanding of consciousness that cannot be comprehended and integrated in a one-sided scientific mindset.
Meditation is the act of not judging anything or anyone, including ourselves. It means not judging how we feel, no matter what thoughts arise in our minds, but rather letting them pass. The ultimate form of meditation is to dissolve resistance and let go of all judgment, including judgment of ourselves.
The breathing technique of the Huna Wisdom Teachings
The «Kahuna Shamans» knew the secret of «Proper Prayer». In their teachings, it is necessary to consciously connect with the «Higher Self» every day and pass on a portion of our «Life Force» to it.
This requires a pact, a contract, a promise:
A part of our «Life Force», the «Creative Energy», the «Sexual Energy – Kundalini Shakti» (which creates consciousness and life), «the sexual energy freed from the compulsive desire for physical union», this «Light Energy», has to be directed as a gift to the «Higher Self». The promise is to supply the «Higher Self» with the «Mana» of «Life Force» that it needs to fulfill its task in life.
During prayer, the flow of «Mana» is redirected to the Higher Self, which is weak when it does not receive «Mana». The «bond» between the lower selves and the Higher Self must be confirmed daily. – «Once you understand this simple advise – your life will change for ever!»
The threefold human being (1=subconscious / 2=mental consciousness / 3=Higher Self) becomes «one» when it establishes contact with the Higher Self through the «Ha-Rite».
“The last step is to renounce all thoughts of «me» and «mine», to live without hurting others. Do no more evil. Gather «Mana». Take up the Cross (X), ward off evil, keep the path to the Higher Self open, and send Mana upward daily.
Give the lower self (1=subconscious) the mental command (2=mental consciousness/feeling and mind) to begin with the accumulations of «Mana» (life energy/vital energy/Kundalini/Prana), and to concentrate it through conscious slow breathing (inhaling over 3/2/1), to condense it, then to formulate good thoughts and prayers in the (2=mental consciousness), to strengthen the inner image and to connect it with «Mana» (life energy) from the (1=subconscious) via the «Sushumna Nadi» (the central energy channel in the subtle body, which runs from the root chakra (Muladhara) at the base of the spine to the crown chakra (Sahasrara) at the top of the head [yoga]) or the «Governor Channel» (the central meridian of the «microcosmic orbit», (the «Small Heavenly Circulation« that runs from the perineum to the crown of the head and then forward to the upper lip) to the Higher Self (1) so that the seed grows and the prayer is answered.
«Tighten and Stretch the Rope» (‘tube’/nadi/meridian)” and «remove stumbling blocks (blockages, traumas, resistance, negative thoughts)».
» Reopening the path (letting the «Light», the ”life energy,“ circulate through the «Meridians» and «Nadis») means resurrection. «
«Turning of the Light» (turning the senses inward), a fundamental Taoist Meditation Instruction passed down as the teaching of the Golden Flower, has been handed down in various forms in China for a long time.
It is now available in bookstores under the German title “Das Geheimnis der Goldenen Blüte” or in English as “The Secret of the Golden Flower.” – Nevertheless, you will hardly find anyone who can fully decipher this text and successfully introduce you to its practice.
The “Secret of the Golden Flower” is a manual on Buddhist and Taoist methods for clarifying the mind. The “Golden Flower” symbolizes the quintessence of the paths of Buddhism and Taoism. It is a concentrated summary of explanations from traditional spiritual classics on the inner psychoactive elements. It describes a «natural path to Spiritual Freedom» that has been practiced in China before the revolution for many centuries by followers of all religions.
This text focuses on “A direct method of self-realization that can be practiced by everyone” and is remarkably clear and concise. My entire life has been devoted to implementing and applying these instructions, and after all my years of learning and wandering, I now wish to pass on my knowledge.
This text offers you for the first time an easy understandable explanation over the real Secrets behind this technique and of the Meditation itself and even in a clarity never before opened up.
I invite you to take a closer look at further explanations in my website:
“Meditation is a spiritual self-healing process with unlimited depth.”
